Murphy Lorenzo Applin Jr. (they/them) is a director, actor, writer, and musician from Philadelphia, PA and currently based in Brooklyn. Recent directing credits include Aftermath: Analyzing Anguish (Flea Theater), Dependence Day (The Tank), and Yami (Lincoln Center Education). They can be seen on screen in The Other Two (HBO Max), and Diarra From Detroit (BET+). They have also performed in Restoration In Progress (NYU), as well as Love Birds: or how to mend a broken heart in a day (The Gatekeeper’s Collective) and Ceremonies for Alligator Bites (The Tank).
