Carolina Ide, Audience & Community Engagement Fellow
Carolina (Caro) Ide was born in Santiago de Chile. After obtaining a Bachelor in Business Administration at Universidad de los Andes in 2015, she attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy to train in Musical Theater and Performance in New York City. She is currently obtaining a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration at Teachers College, Columbia University of New York, while also serving as the Administrative Co-Chair of the school’s student organization Student Advocates for the Arts. As an administrator, she has taught Economics at a College level and worked in research in education, as well as volunteered as a business consultant for small entrepreneurial ventures. As a performer, some of her credits in New York include LORDES (dir. Katherine Wilkinson, collectively devised piece) at Columbia University, and A Right to Live in Peace Concert with the Association of Dominican Classical Artists. As a performer, administrator and volunteer at the Sing for Hope Foundation, she understands the influence the arts have in people’s lives, and hopes to combine her knowledge and training to promote growth in the arts scene, improving its access to individuals and communities that need it the most.
